Great small plates at a reasonable price. The eel with omelette is unbelievably good. All the rest of the plates are tasty. The yam was slightly undercooked but otherwise zero complaints - the seasoning on the yam was good.

Sashimi was definitely fresh and reasonably priced. Worth a try for winding down after a long day. The staff were friendly and multilingual menus were provided.

Food was amazing. One of the best experience in my trip to Kyoto. There were one or two dishes that were just average like the yam sticks and the octopus wasabi but I'm still giving 5 stars because everything else was great.

One of the best meals I had in Japan. If you dont know what to try, definitely go for tuna tartar, gluten cake, cream croquette, and eggplant gyoza. They are all very delicious!

Sake to Sakana to Otokomae Shokudo in Kyoto is a fantastic spot. The sashimi and other dishes recommended by the staff were excellent—fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. The team are clearly very skilled, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A truly lovely meal; highly recommended.

Enjoy my dinners while I stayed in Kyoto every night. They provide english menu if you want to enjoy local seafood near Kyoto station. Cheap but tasty.

every dish we ordered was delicious, from the Sashimi plates, which were beautifully presented and with very fresh fish, to the highly recommendable eggplant gyoza tempura style, don’t miss out on that one, to the very good yam and the special ramen. we would definitely come back here. the service was great and the atmosphere as well. loved everything about our dinner. Domo arigato gozaimasu!!

The Inaniwa-style wheat noodles (¥879) with chicken broth were excellent. The assorted sashimi (¥1,209) was fresh and beautifully presented. Overall the food was top quality but a bit light on portion.
